About us

R.I.V.E.R. Pediatric Clinic is a new student-run clinic that is focused on serving the pediatric population of Greater Sacramento. A formal launch for the mobile clinic is slated for Fall 2022.

Our Services

The clinic is a mobile vehicle, allowing us to serve the most people in the Greater Sacramento region. Our clinic is centered around treating ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) through screening and education. We will provide ACE screenings and workshops that educate the community on ACEs and preventative health. We will also provide clinical care, such as vaccinations and well-child visits, to the pediatric population. Our clinic will also educate the community on preventative health through workshops and resources dedicated to children and families on topics like nutrition and exercise. R.I.V.E.R. Pediatric Clinic participates in both virtual and in-person work.

Who We Need

We are looking for motivated and responsible interns interested in pediatric healthcare and public health to join one of our four undergraduate committees, each of which have brief descriptions below. 

  • Workshop Committee: creating workshops and activities centered around ACEs, trauma-informed care, and healthy living habits. 

  • Outreach Committee: coordinating with partner organizations and schools to provide resources for our patient population

  • Finance Committee: fundraising and writing grants for the clinic’s activities

  • Research & Data Committee: collecting and surveying patients and clinic members on efficiency of the clinic’s work

Requirements

  • Must be an undergraduate enrolled at UC Davis for the 2022-2023 school year. 

  • Must be in good academic standing.

  • Must be able to commit at least 2 quarters

  • There is NO major requirement to apply; all students are welcome!
